Fellow Brothers

My name is Michael Koenig and I am in charge of alumni relations this year.  My father Ted is a brother of Beta Iota who graduated in 1980, and my uncle Lenny is also a Beta Iota brother who graduated in 1988.   I served as Lieutenant Master of the Chapter last year and am currently a Junior here at IU.  I grew up in Highland Park, Illinois and am majoring in Finance and International Business.

This past year was extremely instrumental to returning the chapter to the former glory that all of our past active members worked so hard to attain.  Last year was the first year in almost a decade that the house on 1412 North Jordan was graced with the letters AEΠ.  Our executive board has been in direct contact with Nationals, making sure we do everything that is asked of us to regain our charter.  If everything goes according to plan, Beta Iota should have its charter back by the second semester of this year.

AEΠ has a rich, longstanding tradition on the campus of Indiana University.  The house was consistently winning intramural sports championships, engaging itself in the Bloomington community, and most importantly earning the top grades on campus.

Alumni support is paramount for the success of this chapter.  Any past Beta Iota is welcomed into the house with open arms.  A good alumni relationship is the most important driver in house success.  Alumni can provide wisdom and a new perspective through their past experiences.

Any alumni looking to reconnect with the house can contact me directly at mekoenig@indiana.edu Hopefully I am fortunate enough to get a chance to speak with each and every one of you.

Fraternally,

Michael Koenig
